Next procedure for my work up was the very next morning at 11am on August 17th. I went into the office this time, not the hospital which made it much more relaxing. They took me into an exam room and explained that todays procedure was going to be much easier than yesterdays.....whew! What a relief! The procedure for the day is called a Saline Infusion Sonohysterography aka Sono aka SHG; this would check the shape of my uterus to be sure it did not have any odd nooks and corners that would prevent my egg and Andy's sperm from meeting. They were so right about the procedure.....much easier!!!! Speculum in, wiped the cervix, inserted the catheter camera and then a small tube was inserted and released warm saline into my uterus. The screen showed the shape of my uterus was normal! YIPPEEE!!! This was a simple and painless procedure...still had some cramping from the procedure the day before, but nothing I couldn't handle. Everything was turning out great....awesome bloodwork, no diseases, no blocked tubes and no funky shaped uterus! Sounds wonderful.....but wait, why am I not getting pregnant????
