November 21, 2012: We met with my favorite nurse again who is also an IVF coordinator for more bloodwork and to learn all about what medications and injections I would be taking to prepare my body. At this point, I was still very scared of getting my blood drawn, but I did ok with it! We then went into the coordinators office with a HUGE box of meds and she pulled each medicine, vial, needles and box out one by one to label and explain when, where and how to inject or swallow every single medicine. I could not believe the THOUSANDS of dollars worth of medicines were about to be put into my body....was this seriously ok for my body to go through? I really wondered that but knew I would do anything for Andy and I to become parents. We left the medication training meeting feeling overwhelmed and scared as anything. How do doctors and nurses go to med school for so many years but we sit in a meeting for 1 hour and are now quilified to go home and mix medicines and inject them?!?!?!? WOW! Once I got home, I sat down with all meds and papers and calendars they had given us and for 3 hours created my own worksheets, calendars and med lists (of course with color coding and such!) We were about to begin a long and painful journey that could end in the most amazing miracle.
